I’m so excited to announce that we’re now accepting applications for AU’s 2025-2026 Youth Organizing Fellowship program!
The Fellowship is a paid opportunity for emerging activists to grow as leaders, build power with a national cohort of youth organizers, and advocate for religious freedom and the separation of church and state. With AU’s support, the Fellows serve as ambassadors for church-state separation and plan events and activities to educate and mobilize members of their communities to take action.
All 18-25-year-olds living in the U.S., including its territories, are invited to apply to become an AU Youth Organizing Fellow. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. PT on Monday, June 30. If you’re not eligible, please share with a young activist you know and direct them to au.org/youthfellows.
Americans United will select applicants who are interested in activism and religious freedom, share our values of freedom without favor and equality without exception, and have a wide range of experience with advocacy and organizing. The Fellowship kicks off in September 2025 with virtual meetings and an in-person convening in Washington, D.C., continuing virtually over the course of a year.

I can’t wait to read the applications!
