Monthly Sustainers: Shield Society
Shield Society members ensure that AU has a steady stream of resources to meet unexpected challenges and opportunities. As you sustain our strength with your reliable support, we ensure you’re informed on all things church-state separation.
$35-99: Champions for Equality
Champions are stakeholders in AU’s mission to defend church-state separation and counter religious extremism. With your annual renewal at this level, you will receive your official member card and continue your subscription to our award-winning magazine, Church & State.
$100-499: Defenders of Democracy
By making a deeper investment in AU’s work, Defenders gain a deeper understanding of our issues, strategies and programs. Along with the benefits above, Defenders also receive exclusive email updates on breaking news and emerging threats.
$500-999: Safeguard Society
Safeguard Society donors give us the resources to expose and defeat the billion-dollar Shadow Network of organizations, law firms and wealthy Christian Nationalists that bankroll the intensifying assault on religious freedom. In recognition, Society members receive exclusive invitations to semi-quarterly behind-the-scenes webinars by AU staff, in addition to the benefits offered in our other membership levels.
$1,000-4,999: Guardians of Freedom
Guardians play a leadership role in AU’s mission by making especially significant contributions. They receive comprehensive quarterly briefings about their impact on AU’s work in courts, legislatures, and the public square along with discounted registration for our annual Summit for Religious Freedom in 2025, an AU store coupon, recognition in our digital annual report and all of the other benefits offered to our members.
$5,000-9,999: Changemakers Circle
Changemakers are able to interact with AU staff and leadership through a dedicated liaison. They stay deeply informed about the church-state separation landscape and enjoy free registration for our annual Summit for Religious Freedom in 2025 along with every benefit above.
$10,000+: President’s Circle
AU’s leadership cabinet, President’s Circle members have the broadest access to AU staff and executives. Questions are answered, and contacts arranged, through direct lines to a senior staff liaison. And of course they receive all the benefits above.
Planned Giving: Visionary Society
Receive exclusive invitations for semi-quarterly behind-the-scenes webinars by AU staff and ensure you’re looped in on all things church-state separation with urgent update emails.
