
In a virtual event on June 8, AU Constitutional Litigation Fellow Luke Anderson spoke to Richmond, Virginia’s RVA Indivisible, a local organization devoted to defending democracy. He addressed the measures AU is taking to oppose Christian Nationalism.
On June 9, AU Senior Adviser Rob Boston addressed the AU-Greater Houston chapter in person. His topic was “Guarding the Church-State Wall.”
On June 26, AU Chief Program Officer Mariko Hirose spoke virtually to the American Council on the Blind.
In conjunction with the St. Louis Chapter of AU, Faith Organizer and Programs Manager Alyssa Aldape and Church & State Editor Bruce Gourley represented AU at the annual Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in St. Louis, Mo., June 24-26.
In Jackson, Wyo., on June 26, Vice President of Public Policy Alessandro Terenzoni represented AU in person as a panelist in a screening of the documentary “Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy War on Democracy.” AU Marketing Director Whitney Oppenhuizen helped to organize the event.
In Missoula, Mont., on June 26, Church & State Editor Gourley moderated an in-person screening and discussion of “Bad Faith.” The locally-initiated, sold-out screening took place in the city’s nonprofit, community-owned Roxy Theater.
